Bands and Orchestras Associated with ABODA:

A primary aim of ABODA is to provide services to band and orchestra directors. The success of any conductor depends to some extent on the musical ability of the ensemble's players and venues to display those skills. This page is designed to provide contact details for ensembles that are associated with ABODA. Musicians looking to play as part of a band or orchestra and members of the community looking to use an ensemble are encouraged to contact the nominee of the bands and orchestra listed below.

The listings are divided into four areas within the Sydney Metropolitan Area and New South Wales Country.

SUTHERLAND PCYC BAND
The Sutherland PCYC Concert Band has 3 bands within the club -
Elementary, Intermediate & Senior.
Elementary, for those with 0 to 2 years experience, Thursday 6.30pm to 7.30pm Intermediate, 2 to 5 years experience, Thursday 7.30pm to 9pm
Senior, above 5 years experience, Tuesday 7.30pm to 9.30pm

There is no age limit for any of the bands.
The band also has a wide range of instruments available for hire at a one off cost of $110.

SUTHERLAND SHIRE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
SSSO rehearses Monday evenings at Sutherland Entertainment Centre from 7.30pm till 10pm.

We are looking for all string instruments from violin to double bass and all brass instruments. We do 4 major concerts per year plus some smaller concerts from time to time. For more information contact our secretary at
